How I got started sailing: I was on boats since a young age with my family. Then at the age of 8, I began the junior program at the San Francisco Yacht Club. I was instantly hooked.
How I got started with sailing: My family sailed. Grew up with our family vacations always being on a boat. Started at the junior program at San Diego Yacht Club.
Athletic achievements: US Sailing Team Member 2003, ’06, ’07. All-American 2000-2002. ICSA Women’s National Champion 2001.
Athletic goals: Win an Olympic medal
Inspiration: my dad…competitive, respected by his competitors, stressed the importance of having fun while doing well
Favorite spot to do my sport: Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii
What I do when I'm not sailing: Hang out with my new hubby J., walk my dog Nelly
My job: Sailing, coach
