About Molly Carapiet:

• Where I'm from: Belvedere, CA (lived in San Francisco until age 12)

How I got started sailing: I was on boats since a young age with my family. Then at the age of 8, I began the junior program at the San Francisco Yacht Club. I was instantly hooked.

Athletic achievements:  4 time national champion (US Junior Women's Double-Handed Champion (2001), US Youth Champion- Europe Dinghy (2002), ICSA Women's North American Champion (2003), ICSA Women's Singlehanded North American Champion (2005)). 4th place at 2002 Volvo Youth World Championship, 5 time Collegiate All-American Skipper (4 women's, 1 coed in 4 years)

Athletic goals: Olympic Gold Medal

Inspiration: My family is my inspiration and support system.
