How I got started in my sport: I started to race for fun three years ago when a friend persuaded me to do an early season race in Wisconsin. The water temperature was 58 degrees, and I am surprised I ever raced again after swimming without a wetsuit that day.

Inspiration: I am inspired by the dedication of other athletes I train with, the support of my coaches, family and friends, and the belief that hard work leads to success.
Philosophy: Look for progression, not perfection.
Favorite spot to do my sport: Under the sun.
Favorite Girls4Sport wear: The Wetsuit Shorty is a great addition to my swim bag for the unpredictable waters of Lake Michigan. I also like the Supradry collection for training because the material is fantastic for a workout, and it looks great too!
What I do when I’m not in the water: I enjoy coffee or dinner with friends, spending time at the beach when I’m not training, and exploring new places when I go out of town to race.
My job: Professional Athlete, Personal Trainer
