I typically wear a bathing suit bottom or swim skirt but this year decided to try the 1/2 sleeve top with board shorts. I am 5'3" and I typically wear a M. I am 42 year old mother of 2 toddlers who used to be sporty in the good old days but not so much now - I say this because I was hesitant to purchase the shorts thinking they would only look good on a teen/twenty something surfer girl. I was wrong (they would look good on that girl but also looked good on me)!
Fit - true to size and flattering. I ordered a L and M and opted for the M. The L was way too big.
Length - great for a swim suit substitute.
I bought both the short and med length and love both (disclaimer - I have not worn them in the water yet).

I have been wearing board shorts my entire life, and as I have gotten older and (a little) wider (even though I am still fit!) they have been harder and harder to find a pair that fits and looks great. I just ordered three of your snag free shorts and I am in love! Even more importantly, and what inspired me to write, was the made in the USA label! I have bought all the surf brands of shorts and I have NEVER seen a made in the USA on any of them! I was so excited and pleased to see that they were made here! I will only buy your products from now on, not only for the fit and the quality but most importantly since they are made here, we know no one is getting exploited! Couldn't wait for the beach

I love these shorts. I bought them to take to the beach but couldn't wait to try them out, so I've been wearing them while my boys play in their inflatable pool. The Sunset Strip print is beautiful and coordinates with many colors. I also like that it doesn't make me look like I'm wearing men's underwear. Just because I want a boardshort-style bottom doesn't mean I want to look like Fruit of the Loom, ya know? The fit is very comfortable. I was a little concerned when I ordered because I normally wear a medium but the sizing chart suggested large. Large was the right choice. The length is good as well, with coverage where I want it but not too droopy. Finally, the materials and construction are very good quality. I like the drawstring front so I don't snag my bathing suit. There's also an exterior back pocket that closes with Velcro for a key or other small items. All in all a great purchase. I'm looking forward to my next one.
